Nutritional therapy is the application of nutritional science in the promotion of optimum health, peak performance and disease prevention. Nutritional therapy encompasses the use of carefully compiled recommendations for diet and lifestyle in order to alleviate or prevent ailments and promote optimal health.

Nutritional therapy is helpful for both adults and children and has been shown to be beneficial for many conditions including: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), weight management, female health issues like PMS, PCOS and fertility. See our health conditions page for a more comprehensive list.

A private consultation looks at your personal health history, lifestyle habits and your reasons for coming to a nutritionist. It is always good to set an objective for yourself for the consultation. To understand the consultation process see our consultation page.

Initial Consultation for 1.5 hours: €60 Follow-up consultation 50 minutes: €45

If you are unable to travel to the consultation home visits can also be arranged but there will be an additional cost for travel. Can I email or phone after a consultation if I forget to ask something? Telephone and email support is also available in between consultations.

By cheque or by cash. You can also pay by bank transfer in advance of a consultation.

The number of visits will depend on how long you have been suffering symptoms. Some people only need one visit. Two or 3 consultations would be the average over a 3 month period.

Food is preferred over supplements however we may recommend supplements if we feel results can be achieved faster or if the actual health condition warrants it. Again every case is individual and no two cases are ever identical.

Usually people notice improvements within 2-3 months if they make the changes. The average number of consultations is 3 spread over 12 weeks. How motivated you are to get well and make changes will obviously affect the number of visits you need. For more information on booking a consultation see our consultation page.

Often by taking a detailed history it is possible to identify factors contributing to poor health. However, if it is more difficult to identify what is going wrong then tests may be recommended. All costs are advised in advance and are in addition to a consultation. We use Lorisian and Genova Diagnostics for tests.
